THINGS YOU CAN'T MISS

  • The Luminara di San Ranieri: is a city festival that takes place in Pisa on the evening of June 16 each year, the eve of San Ranieri, patron saint of the city.During this night the whole historic center is illuminated, the colorful buildings of the Arno river are filled with candles, creating a unique and unmissable atmosphere, magical in its uniqueness. A city that stops for one night, lights up through the flames of candles, comes alive thanks to the many street artists and musicians who make the atmosphere lively and very suggestive. An unforgettable evening that is worth living .... seeing is believing !!!

  • The Gioco del Ponte is a historical-re-evocative event that takes place on the last Saturday of June and is divided into two fundamental moments: the historical parade along the Lungarni and the battle on the Ponte di Mezzo. The protagonists of this "battle" are the Magistracies (representing the city districts), gathered in the parts of Mezzogiorno and Tramontana (representing respectively the area to the south and the area north of the Arno). Before the Battle, the historical procession takes place, made up of 710 figures, 41 of whom on horseback, all in sixteenth-century Spanish style costumes. The procession winds its way along the four roads that line the central part of the Arno river (the so-called Lungarni).

  • Piazza dei Miracoli: the pride of this small but surprising city. It has been listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1987. It is a large artistic complex consisting of the tower, the baptistery, the cathedral and the monumental holy field, all surrounded by a green English lawn. To access Piazza dei Miracoli, you enter the walls, which surround the entire area. The bright green of the grass on which the white monuments that wind towards the blue of the sky rest leave every visitor breathless .. How can you not be entranced by such a sublime view?

  • Arno River: Walking along the Arno river is certainly a great way to relax and discover the beautiful palaces of the oldest Pisan families, which color the riverside and architecturally enrich it given the multitude of styles. We can also find some ancient tower houses that once filled the city, but unfortunately, only a few remain.
